You are signing up to walk on Monday September 8th @ 9:10am, from Torresdale towards Somerton.

Please register individually for EACH segment of the Fall 2025 Walk Around Philadelphia that you plan to attend. 
 

About this segment:

Meet in front of the Three Monkeys Café (by the Torresdale regional rail stop of the Trenton line)
9645 James St, Philadelphia, PA 19114

Many of us will be coming in on the SEPTA regional rail train (Trenton line) from Center City scheduled to arrive at 9:10am

We may then (pending confirmation) detour towards Glen Foerd for a special coffee send-off, with our actual walk starting closer to 10am. 

This segment may an option to end with tasty treats at ASR Food Market in Somerton. 

In planning for this segment, we also recommend that you review the City's Lower Poquessing Creek Trail advanced feasibility study. 

This segment is estimated to take roughly 12-15 miles and 6-8 hours. The terrain may include much potential for off-roading in brambles in the creek-bed, but also roads & sidewalks.

Your mileage, terrain and endpoint may vary depending on choices made by your group; you can always choose to walk a partial segment.

 

Registration fees & contributions:

Walk event fees cover some of the administrative and logistical costs associated with facilitating the walk and helping make this experience more accessible to others. Please contribute the amount that feels accessible to you.

Our walk segment start times are coordinated with SEPTA schedules. The current funding landscape and potential service cuts may impact this project. Please contact your elected representatives to advocate for public transit, and keep an eye out for updates from us; event start times may need to be adjusted in response to any SEPTA schedule changes.
