P&P is a legendary community establishment, and also a very sentimental location to have an exhibit… I basically grew up in that coffeeshop, did my homework there in high school and worked behind that counter for quite a while. Coming back to it, quite literally, half a lifetime later is kind of fun. It’s also great to get some work out in front of people in the Washington area, as I’m hoping to do more work there in the future. Please pass along the details to your contacts in DC.
I’ll be showing an assortment of images from my arts and activism work, including recent images from the Coalition of Immokalee Workers‘ Campaign for Fair Food.
The opening reception will be concert-style, as we’re most fortunate to have some of my favorite Philly songwriters providing some music for the event from 8-10. I’ll most likely be hanging out in the space from 7pm-onwards, so if you want to hang out and chat, come a bit early so that we can keep the 8-10 slot for looking and listening.
Hope to see you and your DC friends there!
