Congratulations to WRFU
and The Prometheus Radio Project!

Radio Free Urbana sucessfully went live on sunday Nov 13th at 5pm. Broadcasting on 104.5 (and streaming live here), WRFU is a new low power community radio station based at the Urbana-Champaign Independent Media Center. The Prometheus Radio Project is a Philadelphia based organization devoted to supporting community radio.

The 9th Prometheus Barnraising brought volunteers from all over the country (and a few from farther) to work with community members in not only building the station, but knowledge and community through workshops and conference sessions.
